PROSTHETIC'S SPECIAL EFFECTS - FLAT MOULD - WORKSHOP

Transform your 2D special effects skills into 3D prosthetic skills. Let your casualty effects become realistic, so realistic that your audience will believe the trauma has just occurred. Learn how to make seamless prosthetic pieces at ease and enhance your skills making your traumas camera ready. Taught by industry professionals, our 2-day beginners prosthetic workshop will focus firstly on anatomy, colour theory, the health and safety of application & removal, including the importance of implications when working with prosthetic materials. Making you familiar and confident with the uses of each product to ensure the safety of your clients. During your training you will learn the art form of moulding and sculpting, how to make casualty effects from flat moulds to be able to produce small prosthetic pieces. Once you have mastered this step the options are endless as to what effects you wish to mould. You will discover how to achieve extra detail through colouring and adding texture for the finishing touches. Not only will you learn how to make the piece this will continue through to the application process effectively to industry standards. If you wish to progress further from this workshop we recommend attending the 3 day Prosthetics life casting workshop. 

All of our Kryolan educators are current make-up artists who have been in the industry for many years. You will learn about different technique, products and equipment to use, and about the industry itself and how you can achieve the best artistry for that particular genre of make-up.

This workshop is held at our Kryolan London store in Covent Garden and is from 11am until 5pm. The workshops are structured with demonstration and practical sessions. All products, brushes and equipment will be provided. You will not need to bring anything with you except yourself and your camera to capture images of the lesson. All workshop attendees will receive an information pack with a notepad, pen and make-up samples.

You will be awarded with a Kryolan UK Certificate of attendance that is recognised within the make-up industry.

This workshop is open to all candidates as our Kryolan educators will provide a service to cater for all, from beginners to advance. Whether you would like an insight into this field of the make-up industry or wanting to brush up on your skills and advance your knowledge, this workshop is for you. We cater for up to 12 candidates on our Kryolan UK workshops.

If two or more workshops are booked simultaneously for a single pupil, a 20% discount is applied.
A group booking discount of 25% is offered for 5 or more people.
Students receive a 10% discount on all workshops.
Pro Card holders receive a 20% discount on all workshops.

Should you wish to purchase any products, a 20% discount is offered on the day of the course. A Prosthetics Special Effects kit is available to purchase on the day of the workshop at a 30% discount.

Bookings can be paid by card, cash or bank transfer.
